I fell yesterday and hit the same spot I hit when I fell a couple of months ago walking across a steel grate to class. (cept I fell on concrete this time) My butt is all swollen now and it hurts to sit. :/ Might interfere with some plans to finish some artwork n stuff...
I have some old photos to restore and I was going to work on some other stuff... darnit!
Oh well at least I can get some chores done. I hate sitting still not doing anything. Could be worse!

Today started out badly. When I was upstairs working on my greeting card project, I discovered that I’d lost my stamps – couldn’t find them anywhere and I searched high and low. When Mom got up I asked her to drive me to Wegmans to get stamps there – only to find that our local Wegmans no longer sells stamps. I was so upset that I started crying, ack! I'm not normally a crier. I felt like an idiot.
Well, at least my Christmas image is now finished. It's not what I originally planned -- a Madonna and child, or even my "plan B" image (partridge in a pear tree) -- but a Christmas squirrel painting. It turned out pretty well.

PRE-FALL 2010 COLLECTIONS...Part 1
CHANEL - ZAC POSEN
A Shang-hai Surprise from the esteemed House of Chanel...
I have decided that, as the interim collections - both Pre-Fall and Resort - are now becoming more and more important, and widespread amongst the fashion designers of this world, I am going to start featuring my red carpet picks from them both, as well as the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter Fashion Weeks that I currently look at...
As I discovered, there was an amazingly beautiful quantity of dresses that were absolutely red carpet-worthy, and probably will be chosen before the awards season is finished..
In Part 1, I have included the red carpet dresses from all the designers who had the usual small preview-style collection for Pre-Fall...in the second part, I have taken three designers for whom the title Pre-Fall appears to mean another full-size major collection, and therefore warrant a longer look... The visuals. I just read a review of the movie in my local newspaper, and they gave it a four (out of ten). The reviewer said the story and dialogue were bad. But it *looks* super cool in the commercials I've seen on TV. So, I'd go for the eye candy.
Didn't get to work on the tattoo flash I said I started the other day. I ended up having to go run up to Greenville twice to get stuff to hook up our new heater! It's pretty cool, gets really freakin hot. It has the blue flames, gets the whole house warm real quick. Yay!
Debated on working on artwork today, or just housework. I decided to do artwork. >.> Especially since the heater is up and going now it gets the office area warm and I can work at my desk without freezing my fingers off.
Soooo.. I'm working on my Oni Oiran pic... I'm pushing pixels around on the Juban right now.. some cool snake shibori pattern it's pretty wicked! I wonder how many people will pick up that its rather snakey looking? Maybe I should hide the head of a snake in there somewhere.
And since the pic is a sort of mesh of rockabilly/fetish in style I thought about doing a sort of flame pattern or devil girl motif on her Kimono. I dunno, still debating.

This painting started as a sketch way back in 2006. The idea stayed pretty much the same, with the addition of with some better perspective knowledge. And of course, she resembles my own cat. It's great to finally be able to mark this one off the list!

BRITISH FASHION AWARDS 2009
The British Fashion Awards 2009 were held on Thursday December 9th, in the illustrious halls of the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand...

Isn't this a fabulous venue for such a grand event in the British Fashion Industry calendar ? This great hall seats around 650 people and is often used for Awards ceremonies and other events of this type apparently...it's also very pretty when done out for a party like this, don't you think ?!! I must say, a little lighting goes a very long way...
The exterior of this historic building is equally imposing and grand, and resembles one of our more beautiful cathedrals:-

Yikes, it's getting close to Christmas and I haven't even finished my greeting card painting yet! I'll be working on that tonight.
It's bitterly cold out.
